20 Liquor licenses in The Western Cape Provence have been suspended. For those whose licenses have been suspended will have to appear before the (Tribunal) within 21 days after the lockdown period has expired, to show the cause of why the order should not be made final,” Section 20 hearings will be scheduled where the (Tribunal) can either revoke the license or impose a fine of up to R 115 610. 00 if the licensee has been found guilty of transgressing any legislation or regulations.
Vendors selling alcohol during the prohibited period of lockdown, are at risk of a fine and or losing their liquor licenses.
